I was there, sitting, looking at nowhere, while some fishes were tickling my feet. The sand was warm and white. In the skyland I could see some stormy clouds. They were far away, so I decided to take the last dip. Probably the last one of the year.
I got inside the cold water. It only covered my ankles. So I decided to go farther inside until water covered me entirely and I didn’t touch the ground. I didn’t see it because it was so deep.
Clouds didn’t move, so I decided not to worry and enjoy. Enjoy solitude because there was no one else, I was alone. Everything was completely silent.
I laid on my back. It was wonderful. Everything was calm. I closed my eyes without worrying about the black clouds. After some minutes, I felt that something grabbed me and pulled me down, down the water. I swam with all my strength, but it was all in vain. That strength was bigger than mine. I looked at the sky, it was all black. I tried to get out some times, but it was useless, so I let myself go. I took air, all I could, I closed my eyes and counted until three.
When I arrived to number three, I opened my eyes, but I couldn’t see anything.
Everything was dark and blurred. I tried to get out swimming but it was in vain. Far away I saw a kind of arch. Inside it, it looked as if it was empty, so I thought that it was a cave. A sinister and silent cave. I waited until the water let me free, but I noticed shortage of air.
When I felt that the water let me free, I looked up, but I didn’t see the surface. I tried to swim, but I started feeling sick, I felt that I needed air and I had a very strong headache. I tried to do three attempts to get out of there. The first attempt, I could move a little bit, but in a short time, I got down all I got. The second attempt I practically didn’t have any strength. Last attempt. This time I didn’t try, I let myself go. So the water was dragging me downwards.
Meanwhile, I saw all my life passing in front of me, all my memories, my dreams, my wishes. All the discussions and laughter. Everything, absolutely everything. The shortage of oxygen took control of me, so I closed my eyes, forever.
